Journal of University Teaching & Learning Practice
Rachel Fitzgerald was appointed as JUTLP’s second Editor-in-Chief in July 2026 and leads the Journal into its next phase of development.
Joseph Crawford led the Journal through the publication of 544 papers (interim final number). During his tenure, JUTLP reached Q1 for the first time and its CiteScore rose from 1.1 to an interim 11.6 for 2026. The final 2026 CiteScore will be released in June 2027.
Alisa Percy and Jo-Anne Kelder led 74 papers to publication. During their tenure, JUTLP joined Web of Science and its CiteScore rose from 0.7 to 1.1.
Dominique R. Parrish and Alisa Percy led 98 papers to publication, while JUTLP’s CiteScore rose from 0.2 to 0.7.
Romy Lawson led JUTLP through its acceptance into Scopus, establishing an important foundation for the Journal’s later citation growth and international visibility.
Geraldine E. Lefoe led the Journal for six years, stewarding its development from its founding period into an established publication in university teaching and learning practice.
Helen Carter led JUTLP through its establishment in 2004 and its first four years of publication, laying the foundation for the Journal’s continuing development.
Intelligent Technologies in Education
Aniekan Essien leads the Journal’s continuing development following its inaugural year under a co-editorial model.
Aniekan Essien and Marios Kremantzis provided the Journal’s inaugural editorial leadership and established its initial scholarly direction.
Australasian Journal of Higher Education
Alisa Percy serves as the founding Editor-in-Chief, leading the Journal’s establishment and early development.

JUTLP Annual Editor Awards
- Reviewer of the Year recognises an individual whose high-integrity, developmental peer review has contributed significantly to the quality and transformation of manuscripts.
- Paper of the Year recognises the year’s leading paper for challenging current practice in higher education through rigorous evidence.
- Editor of the Year recognises the editor who has made the year’s most significant contribution to the Journal’s mission and vision. In the event a Senior Editor is recognised as Editor of the Year, a Highly Commended Editor Award is made to the first runner-up Associate Editor.
- Outstanding Achievement Award is the Journal’s highest individual honour and recognises a sustained and significant contribution to JUTLP’s advancement.
- Most Influential Paper recognises the eligible paper receiving the greatest number of Scopus citations during the twelve months following publication.
